Ravel / Noël
This year, the Festival Choir's traditional Christmas concert will also commemorate the 150th anniversary of the birth of French composer Maurice Ravel. To mark the occasion, the program will feature a special commission by British American composer Donald Fraser: a choral-orchestral suite based on music by Ravel.

Vive La France!
This concert offers a rich journey through the legacy of French music, spanning over two centuries of stylistic evolution-from the Baroque elegance of Lully and Rameau, through the Romantic sentiment of Massenet, to the lyrical modernism of Lili Boulanger. Presented in the 250th year since the American Revolution, the program also honors the deep historical ties between France and the United States, celebrating the cultural heritage of a nation that stood alongside the American colonies in their struggle for independence.

Haydn's Creation
Experience the awe and majesty of Joseph Haydn's oratorio The Creation, a choral masterpiece that brings the Genesis story to life in a new concert version for chamber orchestra, soloists and choir.
Brother Sun, Sister Moon
Brother Sun, Sister Moon reflects on the intertwined reverence for God and nature embodied by St. Francis of Assisi, through two recently composed works new to Madison audiences.
Slovenian composer Damijan Močnik’s"Missa Sancti Francisci Assisiensis,” lively with percussion and driving melodies, contrasts with American Daniel Elder’s 2010 "Requiem,” which, alternating between Latin and English texts, is more ethereal and contemplative. Together they embody the vitality and range of contemporary sacred music.
In addition to Festival Choir's 55-person choral ensemble, this concert features the Festival Chamber Players, a chamber orchestra of professional musicians across strings, winds, and percussion.
